Invisible Mending
1. Invisible Mending
For the front of your kilt or other visible areas, I recommend Invisible Mending. While the repair won’t completely erase the damage, it will blend beautifully with the tartan, leaving your kilt looking great and ready to wear again.
Here’s how the process works:
I match a patch to your tartan fabric.
Each thread is carefully pulled and woven into the existing fabric.
This method keeps the repair very discreet while maintaining the craftsmanship and character of your kilt.
Service Cost:
£80 less then 1 sq inch hole
£140 bigger then 1 sq inch
For less visible areas or when you prefer a simpler repair, I offer Hole Patching. This method involves stitching directly over the hole with a strong and visible stitch. The repair is clearly noticeable but reinforces the fabric and prevents further damage.
This practical approach is perfect for areas where appearance isn’t the top priority but durability is essential.
Service Cost: £25 per hole
